The Model ICS-4000 isotope identifier is an easy to use field-portable gamma ray spectrometer, suitable for a variety of field survey and analysis applications. A sensitive Cadmium Telluride (CdTe) detector, 4000 channel multichannel analyzer and powerful microprocessor are combined to allow sophisticated laboratory-grade analysis in the field. This instrument automatically identifies and classifies 160 radionuclides as Naturally Occuring Radioactive Material (NORM), Medical, Industrial or Special Nuclear Material.

Maximum counts per channel: 4 x 109
Identification range: 50µR/H to 1 R/H
Resolution: 8 keV (1.2%) at 662 keV
Calibration: +/- 0.5% via standard check source, 5-10 µCi 137Cs recommended
